Polar Cap Girls Summer Camp
Coach Claudia Kepler with Hockey EDU. will be hosting a 8 week summer skills & skating development camp for the Polar Caps girls program. Coach Claudia takes pride in teaching the proper fundamentals and efficient techniques used in the game today to make sure players are building a solid skating & skills foundation.
New and younger players will be introduced to/reviewing the proper technical skills for skating, stickhandling, shooting, passing & puck carrying.
Returning and older players will continue to build off of their previous skills & skating foundations while also being challenged with new drills and hockey concepts.
During on ice sessions, the topics covered may include:
• Shooting, stick handling, passing techniques
• Puck protection and composure
• Net front presence
• Overspeed & puck carrying
• Edge control and skating mechanics
• Stride lengthening & acceleration
• Hockey IQ concepts
