Try Hockey For Free

The West Madison Polar Caps are hosting FREE Try Hockey events at Madison Ice Arena on September 12th and September 19th from 6:30-7:30pm. Come out to the rink and give it a try! We will provide the gear and get your skater out and moving on the ice with Polar Caps coaches. Please plan to stay with your skater for the duration of the event.

Try hockey in a safe and fun environment with Polar Caps coaches. No skating experience necessary! Hockey gear and skate rentals provided. Dress warm and bring a bike or winter helmet.

Pre-Register: Please pre-register for this event.

Location: Madison Ice Arena, 725 Forward Drive, Madison, WI

Arrival: Please plan on arriving 30-45 minutes before the first ice time to get fitted for gear.

Ages

This free event is for boys and girls ages 4 to 9.

If your player is 10 or older and interested in attending this event, please contact us before registering for the event.

This event is for kids who have never done Learn to Play or any other level of hockey with the Polar Caps or another association.

WEST MADISON POLAR CAPS LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAM

Looking for more than just one afternoon at the rink? Get your young athlete out on the ice with the Polar Caps Learn to Play program.

The program is specially designed for new skaters, and focuses on developing basic foundation skating and hockey skills in your young player. They will have a blast learning and playing alongside their future Polar Caps teammates!
